Academy of Singing

The academy was founded in 1992 by internationally renowned opera singers Monique Brynnel and Jon Weaving. Head teacher Jodie Lockyer, alongside a talented and committed team of teachers, directs the Doncaster East studio. All of our teachers are industry professionals who have trained at the highest levels.

The Academy of Singing has successfully prepared students for WAAPA, NIDA, BAAPA, VCA, Melbourne and Monash University as well as VCE and AMEB exams. Students have also been successful performers on Australia’s Got Talent, Australian Idol and The Voice. Some of these talented performers include Hugh Sheridan, Natalie Gauci, Michelle Farrugia and Francis O’Connor.

We are excited to help you achieve your dreams, singing and music goals. We are committed to providing the highest level of teaching in a fun and exciting environment. Enjoy your lessons, get excited and have fun. We provide performance opportunities through student concerts twice a year and other events.
